Munson Lab grad students pass qualifiers

Graduate students Kinsley Tate, Cora Esparza, and Savieay Esparza all passed their VT-WF SBES qualifying exams during the past month. They had to work hard on developing an R21-style grant within a two week period on a novel topic then defend it during an oral presentation. They are definitely happy to have that milestone behind them and get down to research at the bench!

Cora Esparza wins an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship!

Our own Cora Esparza has been awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. This fellowship will cover three years of her graduate career and enable her to work on some new and exciting projects of her own choosing. We are very excited for Cora and wish her many congratulations! Check out the story in VT News all about Cora and this honor!
