Graduate student, Kathryn Kingsmore, attends the 2nd Annual Science Communication School in Italy

Kathryn Kingsmore participated in the 2nd International Science Communication school in Castiglione del Lago, Italy. This experience included participants and lecturers from over 10 countries, and multiple research disciplines ranging from nutrition and cancer to seismology and marine science. The conference focused on the dissemination of scientific findings to both public and policymakers alike, and included interactive labs in which students were required to communicate with members of the public outside of their field.
