Munson awarded R01 for Alzheimer's Research

Dr. Munson will be leading a team which includes Dr. Michelle Olsen (VT Neuroscience), Dr. Ian Kimbrough (UVA Neuroscience, and Dr. Michelle Theus (VT Veterinary Sciences) to examine the role of interstitial fluid flow in Alzheimer's Disease Progression. This five-year award from the National Institute on Aging will leverage imaging methods and modeling approaches developed originally for GBM to identify changes and impact of slowing IFF rates in Alzheimer's disease models.
